Imagineering
Commercial
Residential
As I had discussed in my about me page, my Interior Design goal is to become an Imagineer for Disney. During my college career, I was fortunate enough to be able to create many projects that revolved around ideas that I have had about Disney Parks around the world. My first project was designed as an Avenger themed hotel, and more specifically a suite within the hotel. My second Disney related project was a brand new idea for a Tron: Legacy related ride. My capstone senior project, was a reimagining of the classic Animal Kingdom attraction Dinosaur.
Many of our projects in college had to do with commercial designs, and I wanted to highlight the ones that I am most proud of. One of the projects, he Firebaugh Community Grocery Store, was a collaborative effort between the construction management and interior design majors at Fresno State. The Timepiece Memory Care Facility was a dive into the world of medical design. The last of the three was for our internship class that involved us working with someone from Herman Miller and figuring out furniture layouts for an office building.
Much like commercial designs, we had a lot of opportunities to work on residential projects. The first was actually a mixed use space that incorporated a residential and business side. The second project that we did was a preconstructed building that we were meant to create a potential lighting plan, accounting for the spacial needs for lights. A Dog's Bistro, is also a mixed use space that combines a way for humans and their four-legged friends to enjoy a bite to eat, and the owners to live in a separate space all to themselves.
